Peter Balik serves as the Director-General at the Department for Innovation, Strategic Investments and Analysis at the Slovak Ministry of Investments. He is responsible for the implementation of the Just Transition Fund in Slovakia and for the execution of numerous innovation projects. He joined the Ministry after working for the European Investment Bank as an investment advisor for large infrastructure projects in the RDI and healthcare area.
Peter also worked for the U.S. Embassy in Bratislava as an Economic Specialist and has experience as political advisor at the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations in New York. Peter holds master’s degrees from the University of Economics in Bratislava and the Central European University in Budapest.
